Why the Rain sensor not work immediatly!

LAST week, we had a light raining at weekend morning in Newcastle. The rain sensor Hanged outside my window was not working! It did not stopped my water valve and luckily the rain did not last too long. The other part of the set works well though.:melting_face:

I could tell the sensor immediatly showed that the weather is raining on the RainPoint APP, but the valve did not stopped immediatly. Is it a quality issue? or bug of the APP? Any help from RP Team?:smiling_face_with_tear:

  2. Which App are you using? (Is it RainPoint Home, HomGar, or another application?)
  3. Your App Account Email Address — This will allow us to access and review the system logs.
  4. Screenshots of the “Smart Scenes” you have configured for this specific rain sensor.
  5. The approximate date and time when the malfunction occurred.

Same issue in mine, the tech support team said that the rain sensor had a built-in 3-minute delay monitoring to make sure it will not stop the plan incorrectly.:joy: That make sense, but I don’t need to worry about this question, we only have heavy rain or sun burn, maybe they could make a choose-able Monitoring Period.:grinning_face: :grinning_face:

Fair. Thanks for the sharing. I will check it next raining time. They could improve this or make an explaination on the product discription web. :smiling_face_with_tear:

The rain sensor in RainPoint Automated Lawn Watering Based on Soil Moisture & Weather set. But I think I got the answer in the comment below. I will try to check the 3 mins delay next raining time. Thanks for your help.
