App Update?

Was there a recent app update? I set some smart watering schedules when I first installed my system (last week) and I cannot find those today. Moreover, the process I used to create those smart schedules have changed (at least, I think they have).

Hello,

Thank you for your question. App updates will not delete or change your existing smart watering plan.

Please check if you accidentally switched to a different “family” within the app. Your plan may still be saved under your original family.

You can tap the family name at the top of the app screen and then select the correct family to switch back.

If you still cannot find your plan after checking, please reply to us with a screenshot of your current plan page, your device model, and the email address you use to log in to the app. I will help you investigate further.

Sincerely

I think I found the issue - me.

However, I am still a little confused. For the HTV245FRF, I can set “Intelligent Irrigation” per zone to start watering when the soil (via the soil sensors) gets below a specific level in moisture. But the app also has the ability to set a smart scene on top of this to again water if the soil is too dry. Which do I use and why are there two different places to do the same thing?

Hello,

Thank you for the follow-up. I am glad you identified the source of the issue.

Regarding the questions about “Smart Scenes” and “Intelligent Irrigation”:

We recommend using “Smart Scenes” for automated control, as they offer more extensive functionality than “Intelligent Irrigation.” You can disable the “Intelligent Irrigation” feature to avoid any potential conflicts.

The “Intelligent Irrigation” feature was originally included to allow users with older gateways—which did not support scene settings—to still benefit from automated watering.

Therefore, we suggest disabling “Intelligent Irrigation” and prioritizing “Smart Scenes” for device automation. Thank you for your understanding.
